Air breathers: Tall as hell or stock height?
I ask because I have a choice between the stock 2" height or using a drop base with a 4" tall filter element.
With the hood closed they look the same peeking out of the scoop.

as tall as you can get under the scoop. I run 4" open filter on the 69 - they like mucho air on propane.Car will only take what it needs but I reckon the bigger the capacity, the bigger the filter

Sorry Bob. Not sure how I missed this. Never saw it until today. I'd have gone for the large Marge filter too.

I voted "other." I have the tall as hell, K&N with the K&N lid.

But I seem to recall that Royce one time argued with someone over the K&N lid being worthless. IMO it's not hurting.

I think in your case Bob, the 4" paper filter just seem to look "right."

I voted tall as hell.

Still i have a small one myself ;)
Got the open oval filter with the walking cat lid on, drilled a hole in the base and installed a fitting, so i can run the PCV system as oem instead of filters on the valvecovers, as i saw that the filters on the valvecovers tendet to send out a fine fumefilm of oil in the enginebay, so no my engine and enginebay is quite dry and clean :)
