i have been lucky on that point. Specially with your mishap, i just decided to park the Cougar for winter with Nicole's help from now on: showing me the distance to obstacles as i back into the wall spot.

I hear ya. I told her what happened. I think it bothers me more than her.

As is usually the case, I was maneuvering yesterday while I was "Home Alone."

Of course, everyone else came home three minutes later. O.o

Started it, warmed it up, put the new good 'til 2023 tags on it.

Oh yeah, since my last entries I finished installing the new fuel lines & tank and discovered that while the low fuel light now works, the float does not. It reads just off empty with 10 gallons in it.

Talked to Cleve @ WCCC and he said that was a known issue. I guess it isn't resolved yet and I still have a worthless fuel gauge.

Off topic - I plan to widen the back driveway access so I can get her in & out easier and make room for the truck so I can install the new motor.

While juggling projects with my semi-new gig :work3: I've actually been tinkering with the Hero.

I bought a new set of front tires with a discount coupon at Summit. Also pulled it away from the wall via the wheel skates so I can get the wheels off. Getting set to install the tie rods and front shocks and will button everything up and worry about painting the one-piece cowl brace some other time. Also found that I need to adjust the upper and lower control arms to pull the wheels back into the fenderwells. Ready to catch the lip at the current setting.

Still not sure what you're plating with, Mo says PLAT, I say PLAT is too dull and doesn't shed water well.

Sounds like you need a universal attachment device:

Got 428 back together except for the trim piece above the steering column that snapped as I was doing up the screws.

Bled the back brakes. Started on front left brake. No fluid. loosened the line at the distribution block. Got fluid.

Went to loosen the hase at the end of the line and the POS PO had rounded off the nut. Have to remove line, get new hoses and have a new line made

and they wonder why I hate that car.

up here, plates are what you call tags I guess... only, in Quebec, we only need 1. For the rear. I still have the British Columbia one in front. Personalized 68CUGR. Quebec doesn't issue personalized plates.
NB: plate is English for plaque.

I-Phone doesn't like focusing when moving...
wobbly from elastic band fixing it to a GPS mount

Nothing like a Saturday afternoon bug killing spree

Rebuilt the front brake calipers on the Hero today. They were a bit gummed up since very little operation happened over the last five years or so.

This is just a band aid. I'm going to go with a high zoot disc set up all around as my next major upgrade.

This is just to get it back on the road to drive it with the TCP front end.
