What is 'The Curb'?
The Curb is more than a website, more than a club - it's like a virtual fraternity.
Our web site is our 'home' so to speak and is where we 'hang out'.
What is a 'Curbster'?
A Curbster is someone who has been accepted into the group. We're a small, tight knit
group. The three levels of Curbster are FNG, which is a new Curbster, Full Curbsters - those
who have been Curbsters for a while & are completely accepted, and Original Curbsters - the founders
of the group. People who come to The Curb
and post in our forums, talk to us in the shout boxes and chat or just come by to read
our tech articles and look at the pictures are called 'Street People'.
What do you do on The Curb?
We talk about everything! Cars, trucks, airplanes, chainsaws, motorcycles,
TV shows, jokes, life, work... We help each other out, share information
and experiences, voice opinions, vent frustrations & laugh - a lot!
Contrary to what some would have you believe, we do not spend our time trying
to get people banned from other forums or trying to sabatoge other people's web
sites. Life is supposed to be fun & we try our darnedest to make sure everyone
else enjoys it as much as we do.
How many of you are there?
The number varies, we tend to prune the membership on our forums to keep the database size down.
If you don't participate, chances are your account will get deleted to make room for someone else.
But over all we have about 100 or so people registered, of which 25 are 'Curbsters', another 10-20
are regulars and the rest are tourists.
What is 'the hole'?
I can't tell you that, but suffice to say that there are many different parts of The Curb and only
a real Curbster knows what 'the hole' is. If you really want to know, stick around, get an account,
and you just might find out.
How do I get an account?
You can self register here on our forums and once added to a
group you will be able to see & post to different sections.
How do I become a Curbster?
That's easy. Hang around and be yourself. That's the most important thing. We don't have any prerequisites
to being accepted. People come around, post, chat, let us get to know them, let them get to know us and
it either happens or it doesn't. Some take months to make it, some weeks, most never do. Participate and
be yourself - it will happen or it won't.
